Repairs keep adding up
If you've had springs, panels and rollers replaced in the last few years, putting that money into a new door often makes more sense.
A new garage door is one of the most visible upgrades you can make to your home. We help Ottawa homeowners choose the right style, colour and insulation level, measure the opening properly, remove the old door, and install the new one with new tracks, springs and hardware, usually in a single day.
We install residential sectional doors from established Canadian and North American manufacturers, including Richards-Wilcox and Toho. That means real product warranties and parts that are easy to get years from now.
Most Ottawa homeowners choose an insulated steel door. A properly insulated door with good weather seals keeps an attached garage noticeably warmer in January, protects the room above the garage, and cuts down on street noise. We'll explain the R-value options in plain terms so you can pick what makes sense for your garage.
Styles range from traditional raised-panel and carriage-house designs for older neighbourhoods to flush, modern and aluminum full-view glass doors for new builds in Kanata, Barrhaven and Findlay Creek.

If you've had springs, panels and rollers replaced in the last few years, putting that money into a new door often makes more sense.
Damaged sections weaken the door, let in drafts and water, and often can't be matched on older doors.
Older uninsulated doors let heat escape from attached garages and the rooms above them.
Older wood and single-layer steel doors are heavy and loud, and they're hard on springs and openers.
A new garage door is one of the few home upgrades that consistently improves curb appeal and first impressions.
Older doors can lack modern pinch-resistant panels and proper safety cables.
We measure the opening, headroom and side room, look at your existing tracks and opener, and show you style and colour options.
You get a clear written quote covering the door, hardware, removal and installation, with no surprises on installation day.
We safely release the old springs, take the old door down and haul it away.
New tracks, springs sized to the new door's weight, rollers, cables, weather seals and hardware are installed and adjusted.
We balance the door, connect and test your opener, run the safety-reverse tests, and show you how to care for your new door.
Start with your home's architecture. Century homes in The Glebe and Westboro usually look best with carriage-house or classic raised-panel designs, while newer homes in Kanata, Riverside South and Barrhaven often suit flush or modern ribbed panels with a row of windows.
Think about how you use the garage. If it's attached, heated, used as a workshop, or has a bedroom above it, an insulated door with a higher R-value and good bottom and perimeter seals is worth it. For a detached garage used only for storage, a lighter door may be all you need.
Colour and windows make a big difference. Our door guide walks through styles and materials, and we're happy to bring samples to your home.
